The vital organ of our existence, the boon of our survival, the brain – commonly known as the
mind in general speech- is a great gift bestowed on us humans by our invisible maker. A hidden
tool we take for granted despite it’s worth, work and wonder.
The human mind in simple terms is a world of its own, consisting of its own orbit and planets. A
simple thought process to a daunting task of decision making is the product of this mass of flesh.
Giving us ups and downs, joys and sorrows, smiles and tears, laughter and cries, our mind is a
production house holding the strings of our lives.
The mind isn’t an object, it’s a process. For example, once our mind has accepted a reasonable
explanation for something, it becomes a skeleton for all the information that is perceived after
it. We are subconsciously drawn to fit and match our explanation and knowledge we receive into
our mind, irrespective of it fitting the reality or not.
We forget the facts that led us to our interpretation but yet our conclusion remains stable. The general feeling of our assumed opinion floats over the collapsed foundation that was once its
The perspective of our mind is always limited by how much we know. In order to overcome this
we need to expand our knowledge which will, in turn, lead to the transformation of our mind.
Thus, in order to control our mind, we have to indulge ourselves in what is known as positive
thinking because our mind is not built to make us happy rather it’s built to help us survive.
Our mind is a powerful tool which is supposed to be used to help us lead our lives, but we humans
have filled it with negative emotions and discouraging thoughts, which has made our mind take
the reins of our day to day lives. As we journey along the walk of life, it’s natural to bump into
thorns and obstacles, but what is important is the way we deal with them in order to overcome
them. This is where we make our minds either the protagonist or the antagonist.
If we think straight with a clear mind and a set goal then we can breeze through the rough phase
with ease, solace, and hope. But if we choose to allow our minds to take the lead then situations
become our enemy and people our foe.
Thus, it is up to us to mold our minds and use it only for the sole purpose of its creation. It’s never
too late to change, so let’s spark a change in our lives for self-reformation and social well-being.
Remember, nothing is more painful to the human mind as a great and sudden change.
Overthinking is our biggest source of unhappiness. Keep yourself occupied. Keep your mind off
things that don’t help you. Think positive.
